Caring for your Ceramics

All of my pottery is made by hand, and is completely individual. No two pots will ever be exactly the same, and will never be 'perfect' which aligns with the nature of hand made items.
Pieces will eventually stain overtime with use, and are more susceptible to chipping compared to mass produced wares. They are objects I would expect to see everyday use, but remember they are handmade and therefore require more care than normal mass produced ceramics.

Please be careful with your pottery, wash by hand if possible and refrain from using any strongly staining foods/liquids with them. It helps to wash them quickly after use and if you can don’t leave liquid in them overnight or for long periods of time. For this same reason I wouldn’t recommend using a microwave or dish washer, I always hand wash a majority of my handmade ceramics as it simply isn’t as durable as factory made wares. To reiterate, they can go in the dishwasher or microwave but it’s best if they aren’t. Washing handmade pottery by hand is always the best option.

Caring for Mugs- Due to the nature of being handmade, these mugs require a little more care than your bog standard, shop bought mug as they are a little more delicate in nature.

Although these mugs have been tested multiple times with rapidly boiling water, I still recommend allowing the kettle water to ‘go off’ the boil a little before pouring into the mug, or adding a little cold water/milk first. This helps reduce the drastic temperature change from adding boiling water that may lead to cracks. If its an extra cold morning, consider rinsing the mug under the warm tap, just to warm it up a little before making your drink.

I am confident in the resilience of my pottery, but I want to help you give it the best chance of a long life as possible!

Some pieces may appear differently from that pictured if there’s a quantity option available on that specific item. All of my pots are handmade and therefore subtle differences are expected from item to item. On items listed without a quantity option it should appear as pictured.

Shipping

Domestic orders can take up to 5-6 business days, (or longer depending on the circumstances).
International orders can take up to 5-15 business days, (or longer depending on the circumstances).

I will always aim to have things sent out as quickly as possible but occasionally, due to events/timings/number of orders, it may take a few days before parcels are shipped out. Please be patient, this business is solely run by me. I’m not a large business with a team of people, every order is packaged, labeled and sent off myself. If for any reason there are delays in sending work out, I’ll be in touch.

When an item is sent to be shipped abroad, it is in the jurisdiction of the receiving country’s postage service and customs. If for whatever reason something goes missing, please get in touch with myself and the postage companies. I’ll always try my best to help the situation but occasionally things can go astray, in which case please get in touch and we can arrange a refund or for another order to be sent out. This happens very rarely and I deal with any instances of breakage/missing items on a case by case basis.

There might be tax or customs charges on some items shipped abroad. Please keep in mind I will not be held liable for such fees, and that you may need to pay customs fees upon pick up of your parcel.
