HOW DO I CARE FOR MY HANDMADE POTTERY?
Due to the nature of being handmade, this pottery requires a little more care than your bog standard, shop bought ceramics as they are a little more delicate in nature.
Although stoneware, so technically dishwasher safe, I ALWAYS recommend hand washing, particularly for sculpted mugs, to avoid any accidental chips or knocks that may damage and shorten the life of your mug.
Although these mugs have been tested multiple times with rapidly boiling water, I still recommend allowing the kettle water to ‘go off’ the boil a little before pouring into the mug, or adding a little cold water/milk first. This helps reduce the drastic temperature change from adding boiling water that may lead to cracks. If its an extra cold morning, consider rinsing the mug under the warm tap, just to warm it up a little before making your drink.
I am confident in the resilience of my pottery, but I want to help you give it the best chance of a long life as possible!
